Laureli Devlog: 10/10/25

Hello, everyone!

I wanted to try weekly devlog updates to keep you all informed as we build the game up. I'm aware of many who make a demo, claim the game is in development, then never finish, so I want to communicate what we've been preparing for you all. This is my first time, so please forgive me if I'm not perfect.
First, you may have noticed new versions being uploaded (1.6, 1.7, etc.). Our team has been hard at work trying to add gameplay as well as fixing various weird bugs going around. A lot of things didn't end up making the cut in the demo (including it being able to open, lmao.  Still sorry about that).

One thing we focused on is the Sprite size. We are actually currently redoing many sprites as we were very rushed in Spooktober. Rushed, and now we're looking for new members as people come and go due to transitions between Spooktober and Yuri Jam. Either way, the game SHOULD look more appealing to you guys as we refine the demo.
I'm hoping by the end of the month the art and gameplay will be finalized so we can fully move on from the demo to the main game.
Speaking of, the intended Ace Attorney/Danganronpa-style Investigation is currently in the way. A prototype of the cross-examination segment for Daphne is in the upcoming build. Adding the Point-and-Click  style segments from Danganronpa is a bit longer. Thankfully, once these systems are completed, it'll be much easier to implement across the board.

Anyways, that's all the time I have for today. I wish there was a better way to stay updated with you guys.
Until then, see you all next week!
